Overhauling process ....

These are the 16 valve's tappet. These are the parts that causes the "Tik Tik Tak Tak" sounds early in the morning when the engine started. Im not sure if there is any spoilt, seems not as my engine does not sounds after the engine warm up. My engine head when its just removed from the engine block. It has multiple layers of carbon due to years of services.
One of the 4 piston which were removed from the engine for cleaning purposes.
The upper part of the piston. 93 indicates the piston is for 4G93 Engine. D-H ... i guess stands for Double cam.
Well, guess people likes to says Proton .. Malaysia product, not good 1. Guess what I found on my engine Piston ? a mitsubishi LOGO! lolz...

My 4G93 condition ..

It was a hot afternoon, after i drop my fren at LCCT airport, I went to visit my car at my mechanic's garage. Fuel intake system, ignition, exhaust were removed and the engine head is ready to be removed. The valve cover were removed, the interior of the engine top looks clean and still looks very good as I've always change the lubricant on time.The top head sucessfully remove. The piston were full of carbons but its well intact.

Lower part of the engine head. From here, the 16 valves were clearly noticeable, but carbon were build up due to long term service by this engine. Black Color's valve were the intake valves, due to carbon build up, it looks black. grey colors were the exhaust valves.
My twin cam still looks shiny after years of services.
Intake port looks quite clean, but if u really look insde the port, there are traces of carbon build up within the port.

Its well align and ready to be position onto the tow truck.

The leakage was immediate when the engine started.
It will take at least 1 full week to fully rebuild the 4G93 engine or maybe 2.

The new sets of absorber sets to be fitted into my ride.
New Gasket Kits and Engine sealant for my 4G93.
Timing Belt Kit for another 100,000 km.
Its well prepared to be revive before it even broke down.

19 Feb 2009 ... The day my Putra cried for mercy ...

My 4G93 has been having minor engine lubricant leak since July 2008. I've been preparing for overhauling it since then, which i had planned for end of Feb.

Today my Putra acted weirdly, the weaken absorber has been making very loud noise. Louder then usual. The thin brake pads seems to make obvious screeching sound too. After i went to pass up claim form at my office nearby, I had a check on the engine bay the minute i reach home. To my surprise, there is a lot of engine lubricant spitted out from the engine. Gosh! Luckily I was not heading anywhere for the day. The leakage was quite serious that I can notice it drip towards the ground. Immediately I call my mechanic but his garage was occupy by another Perdana V6 which is going through the overhaul process too. There is no other choice rather then wait for another week.

The 4G93 DOHC engine has clocked for almost 290,000 km drives, I do think its time to do a major overhaul. These are the things I've prepared for this round of major overhaul. 1 shot to fully revive it!

Castrol Magnetic 10W40

Brakes :

My ride should be as good as new around the first weekend of March 2009! Anticipating it ..

Fuel Consumption

2nd tank of my putra fuel seems to last longer, perhaps the ECU is starting to learn my slow driving style. This tank of fuel are purely city driving only, the first tank with 17" rims were on highway to klang and also KLIA, which i only manage to get 424km for RM75. This 2nd tank were a bit surprise to me, purely city drive but i get 432km for RM73!!!

Fuel usage RM73.00 (38 L)
Distance Travelled (432km)
Distance travel per Litre = 432km/38L = 11.37km/L
Cost for Each distance covered = RM73.00/432km = RM 0.169 /km

Difference for 1st and 2nd tank , 5% better in terms of fuel consumption

First full tank of my putra with the new 17" wheels shows the milleage clocked at 424km while the refuel cost me RM75 @ RM1.92/L which sum up to 39 L of fuel.

Fuel usage RM75.00 (39 L)
Distance Travelled (424km)
Distance travel per Litre = 424km/39L = 10.87 km/L
Cost for Each distance covered = RM75.00/424km = RM 0.177 /km

Fuel usage wasn't much difference I guess. But i remember i was able to do 0.168/km once .. :)

Experince with 17" Rims

There has been comments on my new 17" rims, most of them says the older 15" looks better (Girls comment). This is because the older rims are white in color which is more attractive compare to the current one. Actually, there is a purpose behind the color of this rim. The purpose is to match a white color putra, which i plan to repaint the whole car near future. Maybe another 2 years later.

During the days with 15" wheels, I love to speed a lot. I even dare to do speed that super fast :P. I also love to conner fast with the gripy tyres and custom absober its just nice. Since few months ago, I quit speed, i made myself drive slowly. But then once in a while i love to conner with some speed too due to the grip tyres, lowered setting and semi bucket recaro seats.

Now with the 17" wheels, I dont even drive fast anymore. The acceleration was slowered even with the mivec throttle, yet with the oversized wheels if i conner too fast , the wheels will hit the fenders which help me to slow myself down!.. but i love it :) i really meant to drive slow ..

Full view of my ride with new rims. Front lowered to 2 fingers height so that i cannot drive that fast :P. Because when i conner a bit faster, the tyre will hit the arch fender. LoLz. Guess thats the price you have to pay when u go for cosmetic. Thou the wheel seems alot heavier then my previous 15"x 6.5", it does not tkae much effort for the 4G93 to push the car to move. Acceleration is a bit laggy compare to 15" but the ride is smoothen and the torque is still very much there. As for fuel consumption, it doesnt seems much different to me, maybe it will have better fuel consumption as well due to the new tyres.

The new Wheels actually looks sporty on the car but the original bumper and side skirt is a bit too tiny for the large wheels now... Headache..

17" Rims to replace my old cracked 15" Rims.

The minute i made my decision to replace it to a 17" rims, I know i wont be driving fast with my car d. With 16.7 kg/m torque i was not worry about the extra weight on the wheels.

The Car when its on the previous 15" wheels, with 195/50/R15 Matrix tyre (cheapo yokohama). My new ride with 17" taiwan rims. Fitted with Falzen ZE522 tyres 205/40/R17".

No doubt the car got weaker during acceleration, but I'm happy with it, cause I've been quiting speed since few months ago. But i worry about pot holes now :)

Preparation for new rims

2 months ago, I cracked 1 of my sport rims. Many frens has advice me to change it as it is dangerous to drive a fixed crack rim as it wont last.

Currently, my putra is riding on 15"x6.5" wheels with 195/50/R15 tyres for all four wheels. To make it sportier and conner faster, I send its absober and spring to be customized 18 months ago and it ran fine all the while. But today, I have to make some changes to that setting to allow me to fit in large wheels tomorrow. The original spring is fitted back in so that the ride is set back to its original heights which is around 2" higher than the current setting.

This was the look before change back to the original spring.

My plan was to fit it 17"x7" with 205/45/R17 tyres in front and 17"x8" with 215/45/R17 tyres behind! HeHeHe.... If and only if my budget allow :)

Alternator died ..

there is a phrase amoung the chinese, if its nothing wrong with the thing, dont mess up with it, else it will get worst. This is so true. My prince alternator was okay all the while, but then i decided to fix it a bit as the bearing was jam and was making noise thou it is still charging well. After changing the bearing and the carbon. I didnt really test it as i was heading back to Jakarta.

Today I come back to Malaysia. driving my prince was much fun as all the new mountings fits well as the engine vibration become minimal. Its like a new car to me. But after having my dinner with my colleague at leisure mall, we decided to move on to another drink as we were waiting for another fren. As i drove out from the parking. I notice the voltage meter is reading quite weird.. Its reading as low as 11v compare to the normal 13v during charge. When i accelerate, the volt drops. Immediately i made a call to my mechanic. He told me to drive home and try to save the batt as much as possible.

Drive from cheras to Kota Damansara, Thats really a challenge. Headlight was not on. I only on the small light to save energy. After the 50 cent toll at Tasik selatan, the battery reading was as low as 10.5v d. without wasting much power, i pedal it to try to get home as fast as possible. as i reach around mid valley, the reading was as low as 9.9v d. To further save power, i switch off the battery reader. Taking the Kerinchi link to save time as my prince is running out of battery power! Further taking up the spring toll for RM1. as soon as i'm out of the toll, its quite noticeable that the battery power is very low already because the digital clock light was very dim already. Following my the RPM meter goes up and down. At that point, i totally switch of my lights worrying that i can't reach home. Luckily I was able to reach home with sufficient battery power to close of my power window with a bit of hand help.

Guess i'll need to get myself a new alternator for my prince once CNY is over.... :(

Major Service for my Prince

The night after Jacky Cheung concert, I send my friends back and head my way back to my house. The road was dark, didn't notice there is a huge hole on the road.... Malaysian Roads... Bang... OUCH .. That was painful. Got out of my prince, and found that my rim are dent and cracked ... :( . Sad night. I've actually plan to change my rim from 15" to 17", but i dont have the budget yet so i guess i have to fix the huge crack for now.

The crack was very long and quite wide open, but then the tyre didnt leak a bit. Weirdo..
The next day, my prince was up in the garage. As i ave previously plan to major service on it especially on the clutch, need to replace. Since I've bought the new clutch, Its a day to replace it as well.

My car alternator, the bearing was not that good already. Its making noise, Since I'm Changing the clutch d, might as well change the bearing. As well as replacing the carbon contact inside the alternator.

My old clutch, Its original and hasn't change before since 10 years ago. Its old and worn out already. The plate was already harden.

The new clutch that will replace the old one. My fren ah keong bring me this clutch from his hometown. Its not a super good one, but i got it for a bargainable price. Hehe

My front disc brakes. It has been a bit scratch, so I did a disc skim on it to make it works like new.

My prince gearbox. Has been clean throughly. Thanks to my mechanic!! ah Yong!

Replaced both the upper and lower clutch pump as well. Took my mechanic whole day to replace all the parts for my prince. I also change all 4 new engine mounting. The car is as smooth as new one now :)

Putra Gearbox giving up ...

Lately I've found out that my putra's 5th gear is giving up... When I'm driving at constant speed at highway , sometimes the gearbox will kick the gear out from the 5th gear position into N automatically. Its kind of irritating, when the first time it happens, i thought my clutch has failed, because the RPM keep hiking all the way up but the speedo is going down. Checked with my Mechanic, he told me that the 5th gear need to be replace would cost around RM3xx and a whole day work. Guess i will fix it together when I replace my clutch pads. Kind of worry my other gears might be spoilt also, because the other day driving at 4th gear, heard some sound like gear grinding. I wonder how come problems happen on the 4th n 5th gears as I normally trash my 3rd and 2nd gear only, when I downshift .... LoLz... anyway the putra gears are kind of old, need some new replacement parts on it d i guess. Travel more than 265,000 Km already.

Got my Amp 2 days ago, and it takes me 2 seperate day to install it as my mum is here in KL i only spend my time installing it when she is having a evening sleep. LoLz. I though wanna hide all those wiring nicely but its a tiring job as i previously has hide all my component sets crossover underneat my car carpet. It takes me 1 hours just to look for my crossover and extract it out from its position. Anyhow I've successfully install it without blowing it. The sounds seems a lot more powerfull but then i still need the pros to tune it for me. Not really good in tuning yet :)

My New Amp Has Arrived....

It was a surprise, was still awake late in the night chatting with my friend. Suddenly, my secret agent came online.. He told me have a bad news and also a good news for me. I choose to listen to the bad news before the good one.

The "Bad news" was the Mono Amp and the Sub woofer will only be available early next year. Which i already expected from his previous news. So it doesnt matter much. Then i was ready for the good news to come. He told me that my 2 units of XM-2002GTR was already with him in his room! Yeah .. That's what i call good news. I thought the unit will only be available early next year. Never expected that he can get it by today, it also means that this trip going back to Malaysia, I will be playing with this 2 new Amp. LoLz. Can't wait till i get home.

Then i request my secret agent to send me some pictures of the real units. Here it goes.

More toys for my prince...

Two days ago on 14th Dec 2007, My Sony secret agent send me a message saying that the 2 amplified i order need to be delay as Sony have to calculate their stock or something during this end of year. Thus i need to wait till next month Jan 2008 the only i can get the 2 Amplifier for my car.

Today, my secret agent offer me something attractive again. A sony High end mono block amplifier D type. Capable of 900 W power (rated at 290W). He also tell me that there are only 4 units left in their warehouse and will not order anymore future high end amp thus i cant get anymore of this kind of high end amp if i dont grab this now. The retail price is RM1,099 and he can get around 50% off for me. :-) XM-1S. The mono amp that is going to be use to power up the Subwoofer.

My secret agent also told me that, there is only 1 unit of 12" slim type woofer left and its a great buy for around RM400 only including the box. The woofer can withstand a total power load of 1500 W (rated 380w). Which mean its safe to fully power by the mono block.

When i first started to play with car audio system, i never tot i would end up will all this high end stuff. Thanks to my secret agent.

I have been planning to get my car a good sets of amplifier since i have a good head unit paired with 2 sets of good speakers. All of them i got it for dirt cheap price... hehe.. thanks to my secret agent in SONY... lolz..

Well lets talk about my new toy first. It all begin when my Secret agent bought himself one unit of the Amplifier, a brand new XM-ZR604. Its a 4 Channel sony amp 600W rated 55w x4. At around RM350 ... hehe ... I order 1 unit from him.

Today, I drop by my secret agent's command center.. He told me that the high end Amplifier does have stock, and he wonder if i am interested on it? hell i am if the price is Okay. So he had a quick browse through the price... Darn .. its RM1,099 retail price... and yet its only 2 Channel, which means i need 2 of it to power 2 pairs of my speakers.

To my supprise.. its just RM456 that my secret agent can get for me.. Damn . its so tempting.. without further doubt, i order 2 units from it ... Super over budget .. planned for RM350.. end up spending RM900 ++ .. lolz.. Cant wait till these 2 babes comes and install to my prince..

DEH-6850MP ... Well my Pioneer head unit ... nice huh ? :P ... bought this at RM900 1 1/2 year ago d.. that time the retail price was over RM1,300..

XS-HT170SN - Speaker sets for my prince... Retail at RM688, got it for RM328 ... sound was just right all the time...

XS-HT130SN - Speaker sets for my prince (rear) .. Retail at RM638, got it for RM450... :( my secret agent ran out of stock for this unit .. so i have to get it else where..

Gonna look for new RCA cables and wiring for my prince when the 2 new amp comes along... :) .. it will be a Christmas Gift for my prince.. hehehe :)

My 10 years old Air con...

Today when i'm fetching Dad and Mum, Dad complaints my airconditioner wasn't working well. I've already set it to the max but then the car still feel warm.

After dropping them to shop at time square, i immediately bring my prince to have a fix on its aircon. As usual .. i cannot let anything happen to my prince..hehe. They started to strip of the airconditioner system from my car... Woopss... A view of the front dashboard where by the Cooling coil is place here!.

This is the Condensor ..its already 10 years old... there is leakage somewhere.. i didnt bother fixing it... Just change me a new one...

Look at this junk!! haha .. its the cooling coil ... it has been 10 years. everything seems to be torn apart from it.. neither do i bother to fix or clean it .. change it please...

It takes nearly 2 hours to do a service and replacement of the spoilt parts .. and well the aircon is doing well d.. but then it cost me RM6xx!! .. lolz ... but for my prince.. yup .. its okay with me :)

Been driving my putra for 2 years d... The seats was getting older .. dirty and cracking d... So finally, i've decided to rewrap the whole thing.. :) .. Change the fabric color as well.

Here is how it looks from Outside .. previously. Notice that the RECARO wordings was tiny .. and blue-ish ..

After the fabric renewing process ...... and of coz bigger RECARO wording ... and my favorite color... WHITE!!! .. lolz..

Isnt it wonderful with the new fabric and color for my putra ... im really loving it... :-). Next up .. gonna get him a new pairs of rims.. this time its either gonna be 16" or 17" ... :)

I've been a Man Utd supporter ever since I'm in Secondary School. But i do not have the oppurtunity to watch football that time because my house doesnt has an Astro. I remember i started to love football all because of my brother also. During 1994 Worldcup, that time i was only a primary 6 student, i still remember my brother draging me out of my bed to watch LIVE football with him as early as 3.30am!!.. lolz.. 4 years later, i started watching Worldcup with my bunch of frens at hotel's pub.

Even since then, i've been a big fan of Man Utd. But during those time, i dun have such money to own a Jersey of Man Utd. When i started to work parttime, i got my first Jerseys... Then every year i collect 1 . 1/2 of my jersey collection are from my brother too!! .. he bought for me!!.

My Putra new windscreen!

My putra windscreen was hit by a stone months ago causing a minor crack on the windscreen itself. But i dun have time to change it, and of coz money. Finally the day has come... its time to renew my putra!! hehEhe..

The crack was circled with liquid paper paint to make it more visible for the insurance claim.

The windscreen is prepared to be remove from the car.
I can touch its dashboard from outside of the car!! haha.

So long my old windscreen.. you have served me well .. :-) shading me from the sun and rain.

As good as new! .. Original Windscreen with original pre-tinted flim !! .. looks good on it!! .. I have also took the oppurtunity to spray the sidelines .. make it looks newer.. indeed .. the car looks better!!! .. newer!! hehe

Brotherly Love

Most people have a numbers of brothers or sisters, for me, i have 1 and only brother. I think im the luckiest guy in the world to have a brother like this.
Since im young, my brother has give me all his love. Mum says when im born, brother came to hospital to see me. thou he is juz 3 years old, he already knows how to love me. Mum says brother came and touch my toes! hehe..

Whenever my brother wanna do anything, he never forget about me. I remember when im 3 and he is 6. He had chicken pox.. which also infected me of coz.. On the same year, my parents decided to organise a birthday party for my brother, He even let me blow his birthday cake candle together with him.
I was kind of notty and selfish when im a kid, but brother give me wat ever i want.. from food to toys. Before i went to secondary school, i remember once that my brother bring me to some extreme site for cycling but i fall and hurt my head, brother was so worried tat time.

Then when im 14 and he is 17, Daddy decided to teach brother how to drive... I also wanted to learn, and we learn our driving leason together thou im juz 14 :P. He knows i like to drive very much, sometimes when he fetch me during tuition class, he would allow me to drive home thou i dun have my license yet.

We were so alike each other that during our secondary school time, his fren sometimes tot im him. Even my parents hardly differenciate us when we were on the phone.. hehe.

At college time, my parents wont allow me to work parttime. Yet, due to my expensive hobby (electronic goods and computer stuff) .. i insist working parttime, where by my brother helped me to hide it from my parents which eventually they found out too. (Thou he gets all the good computer specs to play with) .

My previous sportbike was also part of my brother contribution. So as my beloved Putra. Thou i pay for it myself, without him, i dun think i can have this car. That time when i wanted this car badly, which i know my parents wont allow coz my brother own a 2 door proton satria and i am still in college. He help me to beg my parents to allow me to buy that car, in return, i need to pay the car myself and get good results. Thank god i did it.

Thou my brother like to tease me when im young, i know he loves me very much. He is now working aboard that i hardly meet him, but then he remembers me all the while, keeping me in his prayers. He is my hero.

7D/6N holiday at Kuala Lumpur

I've been working in Jakarta for 2 months d. Sometimes im so use to it that going back to Malaysia is like a holiday trip where by i treasure all the time i have in Malaysia. Honestly, I like to be in Malaysia then here in Jakarta. I can drive my beloved putra here and there when im in Malaysia. Here in Jakarta, I will have to follow Kijang (Toyota Unser) to work ... and get stuck in the traffic Jam everyday.

I first decided to come Jakarta is because my brother has been working in Dubai for about a year d .. And i have been left in KL alone, yet my previous project was on support mode that i cant learn anything new. Since im young, i like to take up challanges... thats why i opt for Engineering Degree rather than IT degree though im more interested in IT .. hahaa.. but then im working on IT field now.

The first time i came Jakarta was on Maybank project, which gave me a very bad impression about working in jakarta because im alone here. Had my breakfast alone.... Lunch alone... Dinner alone... go work alone... go out alone... LoLz.. But my new project aint that bad. I've a bunch of frenly housemates whom are almost my age, and we can hang out together... Thou they are not as Crazy as my colleagues in KL. :-) .. they are all very good fren to me.

Everytime when im back to KL, i will spend most my time hangging out with my frens. Last trip i even hang out till my leg pain.. almost cant walk! lolz.... Making some Serious faces.. We are the SBI guys... most of them are X-SBi .. :-)

Trying to Look funny .. but all are old Junk d actually .. :-P

My first impression when i enter the Bar is ... WOW!!! .. Never tot there is such a beautiful place in Malaysia. KL view at night is defenately quite nice. :-)

Karaoke in Jakarta??

Last friday, my crazy housemates drag me to one of the Karaoke here in Jakarta. I tot it might be some places like Red box or Neway, Way WRONG!!.. hahaha. Reminds me of my small hometown Karaoke where my old buddies hang out when we were 16, 17.

This was the first thing i saw when we were heading to our room!.. ouch! hahahaha.. nice one.

Well, these few fella are my crazy housemates (at least for now)... from left, Jane the Noisy, Shervene the Ah Ma, Chien the ... Dunno .. lolz... and there should be one more.. wei wei the Sam 8 .. but she went back to Malaysia. So only 4 of us thou..

Dunno why Shervene the Ah ma always use her left hand to cover her face :-P

Notice the monitor besides the TV, thats for song selection... lolz... Karaoke in my hometown, utilize a small code panel to input what songs we want... in red box, Neway, we use remote control and select the songs... guess wat.. we use Keyboard n Mouse here!! lolz

If this karaoke is rated 1 ~ 10, i will give 2 .. hahahaha.. sound system sucks.. song selections sucks... hehehe... Well, my advise.. only go if u have no other choice.. :-P

I have had this madness ever since my dad bought me my first PC .. it was in the year 1997 ..

My first PC .. was the famous well known Pentium with MMX technology from Intel. I still remember after only a week my dad bought me the PC, i dissasemble it for the first time where my dad saw me doing it and scolded me. But it is now totally a different storym whenever my dad or mum's close frens having problem with their PCs... they will ask me go help take a look. I use to love helping ppl out with their PC, that juz because i love computer so much no matter wat model isit. Since everyone is looking for me regarding the PC problem, time goes by .. i started to get bored with it coz there is too many frens without PC knowledge.. sometimes .. when they ask me.. do u know this or that.. i will juz says .. sorry i dunno .. haha.. sorry dudes.. i really hate helping ppl solving their PC errors d.. like my mum says .. i always help ppl out without asking them to pay me or so.. else i wont get bored with it.. lolz..

Well, lets get back to the main topic.. Ever since i got my first PC .. it was an Intel Pentium MMX rated at 200 MHz. back then i still remember i only had 2x 8MB ram and a 2.1GB Quantum Bigfoot harddisk, yet it doesnt stop me from overclocking it. It takes me 1 week and i started to dissasemble it and not long then i started to overclock it. Pushing it from 200 MHz to 233 MHz . 233 MHz was the highest end processor available that time.. i even manage to get it boot at 264 MHz but it was not stable due to the chipset limitation that other component such as the PCI slots and Rams will be overclocked together.

My 2nd PC was bought when i got into college.. and indeed again i didnt stop overclocking.. from 700 MHz pentium 3 .. to 933 MHz pentium 3..

My 3rd PC was a Pentium 4 2.4C HT .. i bought this PC myself from the money i earn from my part time job. This was the best overclocking machine that i've got.. i was able to boot up to 3.3 GHz rock stable and 3.5 GHz .. not that stable due to the server chipset i guess.. should have buy a cheaper board to gain 3.6 GHz .. where by many ppl did with my current Processor.

Last night, after messing up with my P4, i thot i juz fried my GPU .. an ATI 9800 SE (256 bit) softmoded to 9800 Pro buckle up with a zalman 80D dual heat pipe heatsink fan. It just wont boot.. and after some clean up ... it was back booting healthily.. I dun remember why the heck did i bought this GPU .. mainly due to the reason Overclocking i guess.. because i was able to softmod it to 8 pipelines rather than 4. I still remember i once seek for a special tool to try HARDMOD it .. but no luck .. even pasar road .. our famous electronic street .. also cant find the tool. I must admit i seldom play games.. but then this GPU serves my brother well.. at least he is a heavy WC3 gamer .. thou WC3 requirement aint high..

Currently, my overclocking madness have been stop by my latest PC .. its not a Desktop .. its a lappie .. powered by an Intel Core 2 Duo .. a very famous CPU for its overclockability and with the latest 65nm technology.. Too bad .. u cant overclock a laptop.. i was wondering.. should i sell off my P4 .. and get the latest Celeron .. which is very cheap .. so that i can clock it like hell.. if it happens to blown up .. a Celeron only cost RM100 .. lolz ..

It was first release by proton in 1997, That time i was just form 3 and i cant afford to buy a car.

I live in a small town called Sandakan @ The natural City. There is only 1 guy that is lucky enuf to own this car at my town. It was the talk of the day everytime we saw this car.

In the year 2006, my dream came thru... Thou that time i have not been working yet, but with my supportive brother, i was able to pursuade my parents to allow me to buy my dream car. I promose to pay the loan myself with the parttime job im working. The white Rims come from my brother's Satria whom i purchase for him (the rims).

Thou this is a PROTON .. our so call bad quality local car, but i try my best to rebuild it to its best condition. I prefered a putra because its sexy look and it is not as common on the roads because it stopped production at 2000, thou they had a limited production in year 2004 (seldom ppl know about this).

This baby of mine is a 97" batch @ first batch. From the research i've done, the 97" batch was the best with the ECU code 5537 which is more powerfull compare to the ECU code 0450 (2000 batch). 97" batch also comes with Recaro N-joy seats and Momo steering and Gear knobs.

This baby has a capacity of 1834 with a DOHC configuration. From spec, it is possible to fork out a 164NM torque and a not so impressive 138bhp on crank. On wheel are only 110bhp ++. but it is more than enuf to smoke lots of car . (protons).. :-P

To upgrade the performace, i have swap a Mivec throttle body to it.. 60mm intake rather than 54mm standard intake. The red engine cover has nothing to do with its performance.. juz some cosmetic when i did my timing belt change. Grounding cable are added too.. not much use thou.

RPMs redline at 7,500 and my meter can go as high as 260km/h .. i dun think it can do it . thou i tried 200km/h ++ without much problem. A full tank of RM70.00 can fetch me approximately 450km ... if im not that heavy footed .. it will goes 500km per tank easily..

To spice up a bit of my putra ICE.. i bought a PIONEER DEH-6850MP. mostly for its look .. ehehe. the sound are being produce by 2 sets of speakers.. SONY HT170 6.5" and Sony HT130 5.5".
